Anthropic Ticker Symbol: ANT, as Proposed in Its 26 October S-1
Anthropic's S-1 of 26 October 2026 proposes the symbol ANT on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. No date or price is set yet. See how our prediction settles.
versus Editorial · 4 October 2026
Anthropic's proposed ticker symbol is ANT: in the registration statement on Form S-1 that it filed publicly with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 26 October 2026, the company says it has applied to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under that symbol. On versus at 06:33 UK time on 27 October 2026, the prediction What ticker will Anthropic list under by 31 Dec 2027? showed 99.3p for ANT, the market's estimate of a 99.3% chance, and it was still open rather than settled.
The filing says there has been no public market for the Class A shares, and it sets no date and no price. This guide is for readers in Great Britain and is not advice about buying or selling shares.
What the 26 October filing says
- The form and the time. EDGAR, the SEC's filing system, shows a Form S-1 from Anthropic, PBC filed on 26 October 2026 and accepted at 09:00 New York time (EDT), which was 13:00 UK time (GMT, as the UK clocks went back on 25 October). Its file number is 333-299633 (EDGAR filing index).
- The listing sentence. The cover of the preliminary prospectus says: "We have applied to list our Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol 'ANT.'"
- Anthropic's announcement. A newsroom post the same day says Anthropic intends to list its Class A common stock on that market under ANT.
- One symbol. The filing describes several other classes of common stock, but ANT, for the Class A shares, is the only trading symbol it gives.
- The drafts. Anthropic announced a confidential draft S-1 on 1 June 2026. EDGAR now lists that draft and five amended drafts, the last dated 9 October 2026.
What the filing leaves open
- A trading date. The cover says the shares may not be sold until the registration statement is effective, and Anthropic's post of 26 October says it has not yet become effective. The SEC's bulletin on IPOs of 14 October 2022 explains that SEC staff declare a registration statement effective once their comments have been dealt with, after which the company may go ahead with its IPO. The filing puts the start of the sale only at "as soon as practicable" after that.
- A price and a size. The price range on the cover is blank, and Anthropic says the number of shares and the price range have not been determined. The same bulletin says the final price usually appears in a final prospectus filed after effectiveness (a 424B3 or 424B4 filing on EDGAR).
- Whether ANT is final. The cover warns that the preliminary prospectus is not complete and may be changed, and amendments appear on EDGAR as S-1/A. ANT is the symbol applied for. Our reading: the code is only certain in practice once trading begins, although the prediction below can settle earlier on Anthropic's official word. At 06:33 UK time on 27 October 2026, the SEC's company record for Anthropic, PBC still listed no ticker and no exchange, and the S-1 was its latest filing.
How the ticker prediction treats the filing
The prediction has nine answers: AAI, ANAI, ANT, ANTH, APBC, ARPC, CLAU, CLD and CLDE. They were chosen for the market, not by Anthropic, and ANT, the symbol in the filing, is one of them. In our own words, the rules say:
- What counts. The symbol Anthropic uses for a qualifying IPO. An official statement from Anthropic naming the symbol it will go public under is enough by itself; the first trade is not needed.
- Which sources decide. Anthropic's official information and the official listing page of the main exchange, with another reliable source only for a detail those do not show.
- Share classes. A suffix that only marks a share class does not create a new answer. If Anthropic announced several different symbols, the prediction would wait for the first trading day and follow the class with the biggest market value at that day's close, with alphabetical order as the tie-break.
- The cut-off. A symbol outside the nine, or no IPO and no official announcement of an IPO with a symbol by 05:59 Central European Time on 1 January 2028 (04:59 UK time, GMT), gives the result "Other", which is not one of the nine answers.
At 06:33 UK time on 27 October 2026, the versus page showed 99.3p for ANT and 0.9p for ANTH. A price of 99.3p is the market's estimate of a 99.3% chance, not a statement from Anthropic, and the prices of separate answers do not have to add up to 100p. versus does not say who will win; the prediction settles under its rules and on its sources.
Dates to watch
No date has been published for the next steps of the listing. These are the steps to look for on EDGAR and in Anthropic's newsroom:
- An amended S-1 (S-1/A). A change to the blank price range, the symbol or the exchange would show up here.
- The SEC's order of effectiveness. Only after it can the offering go ahead and trading start.
- The final prospectus. Filed after effectiveness, it normally carries the final offering price, which is not known when the preliminary prospectus goes out.
- The first day of trading. This shows the code, and the exchange, in actual use.
The fixed dates belong to the versus predictions:
- 04:59 UK time on 1 November 2026 and on 1 January 2027. When will Anthropic go public? has four dated answers. The two still ahead are 31 October and 31 December 2026, and each needs Anthropic shares listed on a public exchange, with trading open, by 05:59 Central European Time the next morning. At 06:48 UK time on 27 October 2026 the versus page showed 0.3p for 31 October and 93.5p for 31 December. If an already public company bought Anthropic first, every answer would resolve No.
- 04:59 UK time on 1 January 2028. The cut-off for the ticker prediction. It is also the cut-off for Which bank will run Anthropic's listing by 31 Dec 2027?, which follows the lead underwriter named in Anthropic's disclosures; the underwriting section of the S-1 names Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as the representatives of the underwriters. Where will Anthropic's shares list by 31 Dec 2027? runs to the same moment and counts only the venue where regular trading starts, not an announced one.
Before you trade
You can lose the whole amount you put into a position: a winning answer settles at 100p and a losing one at 0p. A position on this prediction is about a code, not a share, and gives you no part of Anthropic. versus adds a 2% transaction fee on top of the stake and shows it before you confirm, and while a prediction is open you can sell at the current price.
