YES applies if FIFA sells outside investors equity in FIFA Forward Enterprise, or another entity operating the World Cup or holding its commercial rights, by 31 December 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise NO. The buyer must be a person not employed by FIFA, its member associations or confederations, or an entity none of them owns or controls. Direct equity, voting shares, equity-treated convertible rights and equivalent ownership qualify. Instruments without equity, sponsorships, broadcasting contracts and other ownership-free commercial deals do not. An official announcement from FIFA or a purchasing investor of a completed sale or binding agreement to complete one is sufficient. Merely authorising the entity's creation, negotiating, proposing a deal or issuing a letter of intent is insufficient. The entity's name does not matter. FIFA's official information is primary; agreement among reputable reports may also establish the result.
Each percentage is the market’s current estimate of how likely that answer is. A contract settles at 100p if the answer is right and at 0p if it is wrong.
