YES goes to the listed candidate who becomes the next Mayor of Sorell Council in Tasmania, Australia, as a result of the statewide Tasmanian local government elections scheduled for 27 October 2026. Any temporary, interim or placeholder mayor installed before that vote does not count. If a candidate who is not listed wins, or the result of the election is not known by 31 March 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, every listed candidate is NO. Reliable news coverage of the result decides; if it is unclear, the official result declared by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission controls. At most one listed candidate is YES; all others are NO.
