YES is the candidate becoming mayor of the Huon Valley Council area through Tasmania's local elections scheduled for 27 October 2026. A temporary, interim or placeholder mayor appointed before voting does not qualify. If the result is not known by 31 March 2027, 11:59 PM ET, choose Other. Use broad agreement in credible election coverage; where it is ambiguous, use the official declaration of the Tasmanian Electoral Commission. The elected mayor is the only YES answer.
